A positive step to well-being

An overall aim of psychotherapy is to help us live in a more satisfying and resourceful way. Helping us to recognise blocks that are interrupting living more healthily. Psychotherapy can help to clarify and gain insight into habitual ways of seeing the world, and habitual responses in our communication with others.

A safe space to be yourself

Therapy helps create emotional and psychological space by setting aside time for yourself. It can help you improve your quality of life, support you as you make sense of your relationships, and address issues that are affecting your day-to-day living. Psychotherapy and counselling can be invaluable in a time of crisis.

The most significant catalyst for change is insight through self-realization. I can help and support you on your journey of discovery, finding coping mechanisms that no longer serve you, and supporting you in letting them go. I believe it is important to work with all aspects of a person’s experience, emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual.

The number of therapy sessions you need, as well as the frequency of sessions depends on a few factors, such as: How much stress you are experiencing? How much are your concerns affecting your day-to-day life? How long have you been coping with the difficult issues? Having a good fit with your therapist is important and key to therapy being effective.

The Sessions

Sessions last for 60 minutes and we can discuss your individual personal session plan in detail and tailor it to meet your specific needs. I provide an initial phone consultation for free. This is to allow me to explain the process of therapy and gain insight into your situation, and for you to be able to ask any questions without commitment.
